February 14 to February 20 has been designated Engineers Week 2010. Engineers Week is an exciting time for engineers and scientists across the country. Engineers get involved with their communities via national, regional and local programs, carrying on a tradition that began in 1952. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) will this year be the national society chair for National Engineers Week 2010 along with corporate honorary chair, ExxonMobil. The theme for this year's celebration is “Engineers Make a World of Difference: Celebrate Volunteerism”.

Governor's Proclamation. 

This coming year, in a continuing effort to make this a valley-wide event, the Engineer’s Week – Greater Phoenix Area activities are being organized by a committee of professional engineering and science organizations throughout the area. We are please to bring you these exciting events for E-Week 2010:

• Banquet – This year’s event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Phoenix (See the gala flyer). 
• Engineers Day – A science fair event at the Arizona Science Center.  CONSTRUCTION ALERT:  The main entrance to the Science Center will be under construction.  An alternate entrance on the north side of the building will be used for visitors.
• Outreach - Engineers visit schools and community organizations. Request a visit to your school by filling out the outreach request form.
• Awards - Engineer’s Week Awards will recognize engineers, students, educators and projects that have made outstanding contributions to the profession.
